Shaahin Peymani is a sound artist and composer based between Tehran and Berlin.
His practice includes sound installations, audiovisual performances, and composition for film, animation and theatre. Working with found sounds, field recordings, and archival materials, he recomposes concrete sonic material and processed speech into layered collages, investigating perception and the deconstruction of language in contemporary audio culture.
Shaahin’s works and collaborations have been presented internationally.
He is the co-founder of School of Sonic Arts Tehran.
